The grand Aarti of Maa Ganga has now become the identity of Banaras amidst the twinkling of lamps, the sound of bells and chants. This Ganga Aarti, which takes place at Dashashwamedh Ghat, attracts the believers not only in the country but in the world. Dashashwamedh Ghat Aarti of Banaras holds great importance for every Hindu believer.

Sankat Mochan Temple is situated in the middle of Durgakund and Banaras Hindu University, the foundation stone of Sankat Mochan Temple was laid by Goswami Tulsidas. He had composed the famous Ramcharit Manas. It is believed that in the place where Tulsidas ji laid the foundation stone of this temple, he had got the vision of Hanuman ji in his dream.

Today, high-altitude temples are being discussed all over the country. Everywhere, high temples are being built. But few people would know that the highest temple of the country is in Banaras. Which we know as New Kashi Vishwanath Temple which is located in Banaras Hindu University. This temple is taller than Qutub Minar. This temple is made of white marble. Its construction took 35 years and a Siddha Yogi had laid its foundation stone.
